Once a month from October through May the Framingham Garden Club members meet with Senior Citizens at Hastings House. We demonstrate, teach and then assist the seniors in making floral arrangements for their apartments. The residents serve coffee and deserts and all enjoy conversations that have continued over the years.
Twice yearly the garden club members visit Callahan Senior Center to work with seniors on designing floral arrangements. We supply flowers and greener to demonstrate a design and assist those present to make an arrangement. These sessions are usually held before a holiday to add a festive note to the senior’s homes.
